FAN☆NALLY Club: Interview in Blacklisted

Interview in Blacklisted

After what seemed a very long time for us devoted fans without news of Eric Nally, we finally got a very interesting interview published in "Blacklisted"  last Sunday 10th September.

This interview was written by J. Scott Stratton, who claims to be a fan of Foxy Shazam since their third self titled album.

Some interesting information you could highlight from the questions answered by Eric is that working on new music by his own has been liberating.

"Spending 10 years with six guys and always collaborating within that circle was amazing – that’s what has created that Foxy sound. I value it so much, but it’s nice for me now to break out and bring everything I’ve learned through my career so far to new tables.” He appreciates trying new things such as his solo project as a way to vary his way of songwriting. Eric said the time he's spent touring with Macklemore hasn't taken time and attention off his own work but in fact has inspired rather than distracted him.

As for the change in style from Foxy to his solo debut, or even within his two songs released from his solo project "Ruby" and "Believe"; he explains he doesn't think about certain rules he has to follow to continue being what fans expect him to, he just likes "fearlessly creating" and "following a vision" he can bring "to anyone's table and do his thing". When asked about touring with his solo album Eric said he is "a natural born performer" and assures he will be performing live and touring "all over the world!"  Our idol didn't surprise us intending to finish this interview with a hint of mystery, something common in him. His last words, to conclude the interview with no context are "MADVILLE!"

It's always good to have news about Eric as keeping this halo of mystery around him -which we love but also makes us panic about his absence- makes him disappear on social media during periods of time. And even better when it is with this awesome interview.
