Eric welcomed the interviewer in his own house, in the same neighbourhood of Cincinnatti where he grew up with his family. He explains how important his family and this sense of simplicity and relax he enjoys at home is for him. "I plan on staying cause I like it."
They also talk about how he got involved with Macklemore back in 2015 when he was first featured with the single Downtown. He lets us know how he enjoys performing with Macklemore and is enormously grateful to him for letting him to be better known than he was with Foxy. "It's perfect for me."
Eric also argues back to those annoying people that claim to be his fans but only moan about how they want Foxy Shazam back, and despise his new solo work. He says "I'm literally doing the same thing", because he explains how all his art comes from the same place inside him. Being Foxy or Madville it's the same thing because it has the same magic than any art he creates. The fact that the music keeps changing over time doesn't change at all the way in which he works and enjoys doing so. In fact that pathway that goes from Flamingo Trigger to Spirits it's just astonishingly beautiful.
We still don't have an exact date for the release of the album, only that it will hopefully be out by early 2018. He says he doesn't want to hurry because he wants to prepare everything exactly for him to be able to take the most profit of every show, every detail.
